DAHI VADA

 

 

Make plain vada as explained in the recipe for Sambar Vada. Follow the method given below to make mouth-watering Dahi Vada.

 

INGREDIENTS

 

Curd

1 Kg

Fresh coconut (grated)

1

Sugar

2 tbsp

Salt

To Taste

Oil for tadka

1 tbsp

Kari Patta

8-10

Mustard Seed (moti)

1 tsp

Dry red chilly

4

Coriander leaves (finely chopped)

A few

 

METHOD

 

Soak plain vadas for 5 hours in water. Sqeeze out the water. Beat curd with sugar and salt. Put tadka of kari patta, red chilly and mustard seeds. Add grated coconut to the beaten curd. Put vadas in the curd.

Decorate with chopped coriander leaves. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.

 

Makes: 25 Dahi Vadas
