| Big Onions (thinly sliced) | 4 | Salt | 1 tsp |
| Butter | 3 tbsp | Black Pepper | 1/2 tsp |
| Maida (Flour) | 4 tsp | Tejpatta | 2 |
| Vegetable Stock or Water * | 4 cups | Bread Slices | 2 |
| Cheese (grated) | 40 Gms |

METHOD
Heat butter in kadahi and fry the onions to a golden brown color while stirring continuously. Add flour while stirring and cook for 2 minutes. Add the stock and bring to a boil. Add salt, tejpatta and black pepper powder and simmer for half an hour. Remove the tejpatta. Halve the bread slices, cover with the grated cheese and grill until the cheese melts. Serve the soup in a bowl with the bread slice floating.
Serves: 4 adults.
