Hello, I am Prathiba Vijay from Louisville, Kentucky. I would like to contribute a simple and delicious south Indian vegetarian recipe. Hope you all will enjoy it.
INGREDIENTS
2 Cups rice flour
1 Cup of grated carrot
Cup of green peas (boiled)
3 green chillies
tsp. jeera
Cilantro (finely chopped)
Oil
Salt as required.
METHOD
| Take a large bowl, put all the above ingredients into it and mix them well. | |
| While mixing, add appropriate quantity of water to form smooth and stiff dough. | |
| Form small balls from this dough. Take an aluminum foil greased with tsp. of oil and flatten a ball on the foil to get the shape of roti with wet hand (this will avoid the dough sticking to your hand). | |
| Pre-heat a non-stick pan on the stove with 1 tsp. of Oil. | |
| Now place the aluminum foil on the pan, with the dough on the pan surface and the foil facing upwards. | |
| Gently peelout the foil and let the dough to cook till it becomes light brown on both sides. | |
| Repeat the same for the rest. | |
| Serve it with butter on it. |
