KESAR RICE

INGREDIENTS

 

Basmati Rice

250 gm

Tejpatta

1

Sugar

200 gm

Laung

2

Kaju, Pista, Almond

50 gm

Ghee

2 tbsp.

Saffron Leaves

10-15

Orange color

1-2 drops

Cardamom (small)

2-3

Water

4 cup.

 

METHOD

 

Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add laung, tejpatta and cardamom. Add rice and fry for 1 minute. Add water, saffron, yellow color and sugar. Add half of the dry fruits and mix well. After one whistle turn off the gas. Remove the lid of the pressure cooker after 2 minutes. Finely chop the rest of the dry fruits. Transfer to a rice plate and decorate with the chopped dry fruits. Serve hot.

 

Serves: 8-10 adults.
