KESAR BISCUITS

| Butter | 60 gms |
| Castor Sugar | 40 gms |
| Jaiphal (small piece) | 1 |
| Corn Flakes | 2-3 tbsp |
| Almonds | 2 |
| Kesar leaves (saffron) | A few |
| Milk | 1 tsp |
| Elaichi (moti) | 1 |
METHOD
Soak the almonds in warm water for 2 minutes. Remove its skin and finely chop. Grind cardamom and jaiphal together. Beat butter and sugar till it gets soft and smooth. Slightly warm the milk and mix saffron in it. Add this along with ground cardamom and jaiphul to the beaten butter and mix well. Sieve maida. Mix it in parts and make dough. Roll the dough with the help of some dry flour. Stuff it with almonds and slightly roll. Cut it into desired shape. Churn corn flakes, grease a tray with butter and dust the corn flakes over it. Arrange the biscuits in the tray. Bake in a moderate oven at 180C for 35-40 minutes.
Makes: about 30-35 small biscuits.
