NUTTY CAKE

 

INGREDIENTS

Maida (medium cup size)

1 cup

Vanilla essence

tsp.

Baking powder

2 tsp.

Powdered sugar

tsp.

Soda

tsp.

Yellow color

few drops

Condensed milk

200 gm

Milk

cup

Melted White Butter (home-made)

50 gm

Dry fruits

1 cup.

METHOD

Sieve maida, baking powder and soda together. Mix condensed milk, melted butter, vanilla essence, color and milk. Beat well and keep aside. Prepare a baking tin by greasing it and dusting it with flour. Dust also with the finely chopped dry fruits. Put the batter in the baking tin and cover it with the dry fruits. Bake it in a hot oven at 200C/400F for 40 minutes. If a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, remove from the oven after 5 minutes.

 

 

Makes: Cake of approx. 1 pound
