CHOCOLATE FRUIT BASKET

 

INGREDIENTS (A)

Maida

75 gm

White butter (home-made)

75 gm

Icing sugar

30 gm

Cocoa powder

2 tsp.

Vanilla Essence (optional)

1/2 tsp.

INGREDIENTS (B)

Fresh cream

200 gm

Icing sugar

40 gm

Mixed fruit pieces

1 tea cup

Strawberries

for decoration

METHOD

Sieve maida and cocoa together. Beat the butter and icing sugar well. Add vanilla essence and beat again (optional). Add the sieved mixture to it and mix well. Fit a star nozzle to a piping bag, fill with the mixture and pipe rounds in individual basket moulds (approx. 8 moulds). Bake in oven at moderate temperature of 180C/350F for about 25 minutes. Cool and un-mould the baskets. Beat cream and sugar. Fill the baskets with fruit pieces and pipe the sweetened cream on top. Decorate it with strawberries.
